JESUS CALMS THE STORM-MIRACLUOUS SIGN AT ADA CRUSADE

Giftings and Callings Camp missionary journey in April reminded volunteers of Giftings and Callings Camp of Matthew 8:23-26 Jesus Calms the Storm. Tossing and turning on canoes on the Volta Lake from Alokpem, an island situated at Ada in the Eastern Region of Ghana, to Ada-Foah the mainland was the story of about forty (40) volunteers who went on a missionary trip to spread the gospel.

As the rains came down, volunteers were thoroughly drenched and faced with the horror of the canoe being filled with water with a mere fraction knowing how to swim in the event of a disaster. Some volunteers even had to scoop water from the canoe back into the Volta Lake. Matthew 8:23-26 NIV- “Then He got into the boat and his disciples followed him. Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept
over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re
going to drown! He replied, You of little faith, why are you so afraid? Then He got up and rebuked the
winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.” The heavy downpour marked a miraculous sign from God.

Prior to the crusade, residents had not experienced rainfall for a long while leaving them grumbling over the intense heat. Residents saw the hand of God on the two-day Miracle crusade organized by Giftings and Callings Camp (GC Camp) and on the final day God crowned it all at about 11.30pm with a heavy downpour.
With residents already departed to their various homes and members of GC Camp packing up to leave the grounds, there was a sudden storm. God however saw the volunteers safely back to the mainland on canoes.

A total of over eight hundred(800) people were in attendancefor the two-day crusade which was held at the Alokpem school park. The first day of the crusade, which was held on Friday April 7th, 2017 at 6.30 pm, was attended by about three hundred and ninety-seven (397) residents of Alokpem and its environs. A Vice President of GC Camp, Dr. Nana Baah Gyan preached a sermon titled “One Saviour is Enough”. Day two was fully packed with activities. This included a medical evangelism which started at about 10am and saw the mighty hand of God as volunteer doctors and mid-wives together with members of GC Camp
assisting, saw over two hundred (200) patients, on the island that lacked any medical facility.

A leadership conference was also held for church leaders within Alokpem and its environs, after which a donation of books were made to the leadership of these churches. The churches included, Manna Mission, Patmos Baptist Church, Great Covenant, Bethel Evangelical, Christian Church International and Amazing Full Gospel (Evangelical Ministry).About four hundred and twenty-one (421) residents from Alokpem and its environs were in attendance on the second day of the miracle crusade with Vice President Kenneth Annoh preaching on the topic “Jesus a Man of Miracles”. Prayer time was held and God manifested His power in all activities held during the two-day miracle crusade. All Glory to God.
